Changes in Sri Lankan missions abroad

V. Krishnamoorthy, present High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, is to succeed P.M. Amza, Deputy High Commissioner in Chennai who was transferred to London by the Foreign Ministry.

According to the Ministry, Amza is likely to leave Chennai soon to take on the new post of Deputy High Commissioner in London on August 1.

The present Deputy High Commissioner in London Sumith Nakandala had a brief stint in the post. He is expected to be posted as Director General of SAARC in Colombo.

Meanwhile Ranjit Uyangoda, the present Director General of SAARC has taken over duties as Director General of Public Communication.

His predecessor A.M.J. Sadiq is expected to take charge as Ambassador in Brazil.
