Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to leave for Nepal today (29) on a two-day official visit, the Presidential Media Unit said.
President Rajapaksa is visiting Nepal to complete his early visit to the country which was interrupted by the terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan ceicket team in Lahore in March this year.
During his stay President Rajapaksa is expected to hold discussions with his Nepali counterpart Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and other top political leaders.
President Rajapaksa also will pay a visit to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, and inaugurate a monastery constructed by Sri Lanka, Nepal news media reported.
