Bulgarian investors interested in Sri Lanka's business opportunities

The visiting Bulgarian team of over 70 investors gathered in Colombo today to learn about the investment opportunities in Sri Lanka.


The visiting businessmen attended a forum in Colombo organized by the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka under the patronage of Minister of Export Development and International Trade, Prof. G.L. Peiris to introduce the small scale Sri Lankan entrepreneurs to the Bulgarian investors.


The Minister apprised the Bulgarian team of the availability of investment opportunities in the country during the forum pointing out that this is the most appropriate time to invest as the country is undergoing massive reconstruction projects following the successful conclusion of the three-decade old conflict.

The Minister expressed his appreciation to the delegation for visiting the country to explore investment opportunities at this time.


Among the attendees were Bulgarian Economic and Energy Minister Trivo Trikov, President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stephen Simionov, BOI Chairman Dhammika Perera and Export Development Board Chairman Anil Koswatte.
